What % of your traffic is IE, and what % is firefox?

Doesnt matter what kind of site you have but I want to know that the majority still uses IE, please relieve my fear. edit: i love firefox, i piss on IE, but i still want the visitors to use IE ;)

ry0t 04-28-2005 11:46 AM

No one even cares to talk business or no one cares to talk business with me?

ry0t 04-28-2005 11:47 AM

I'll end up taking this to a more professional board where I'll get a better response from people who are actually interested in business instead of posting idiot pictures all day and jerking off to twink porn.

Methodcash Rick 04-28-2005 11:51 AM

Since no one else is willing to play..

IE 87%
FireFox 7%
Other 6%

tungsten 04-28-2005 11:53 AM

76.67% IE
22.62% Netscape (i suppose firefox is under there?)

JSA Matt 04-28-2005 11:55 AM

Overall I think I read somewhere that FireFox has taken about 2% of the market. No way in hell I will believe that 22% still use Netscape, i've never seen a number that high. IE remains a good 94-96%

decrypted 04-28-2005 11:56 AM

MS Internet Explorer 80.6 %
Firefox 12.4 %
Netscape 2.3 %
Safari 1.1 %
Mozilla 1.1 %
Opera 1.1 %
NetShow Player 0.5 %

ry0t 04-28-2005 11:57 AM

Because as far as my traffic goes, it's 64% IE and the rest are firefox or other, so thats a pretty big number already. Im only getting about 2500 uniques a day though

Thank you for the useful information. It seems Ill be losing out on 20% to 40% of traffic if I do things my way. I guess I'll just have to test trial and error always works for me.

It would be interesting to see if firefox traffic is any different than IE traffic. Firefox users tend to be a little more familiar with technology and internet so I would think they would convert and retain worse than IE traffic.

ry0t 04-28-2005 12:12 PM

Wow tranza thanks for that information also, Im sure it will be helpful to others as well. I just cant believe the jump in Firefox. the problem is firefox does not use url encoding so if the person clicks the link he will not get sent to where he should be going so i would be losing out on all firefox traffic.
