making webclips. what to use for splitting vids?
 

What does everyone use to split raw avi's into 15 second clips?
i'd prefer something automated..
ive used ultra video splitter, but that comes out with skippy hurting avi's
easy video splitter came out wiht nice looking ones, but at the end of the bathc decided it wants to 0byte 3/4ths of them, and the remaining it overwrote with grey video and a humming noise.

I know something like premiere would be the best but i dont want to sit and manually chop
