Voodoo 04-28-2005 12:34 AM

I have it. :) The hardest part to get is the dongle.

pstation 04-28-2005 12:34 AM

you could probably get a setup like juicy's for $700 or so now

Xenophage 04-28-2005 12:40 AM

mee too but i am too lazy to set it up

The Other Steve 04-28-2005 01:13 AM

I don't know if Juicy had something special but we're running 2 17 inch flat screens on both of our desktops and it was easy to set up in XP.

It had to be easy for someone as technically challenged as me :)

xclusive 04-28-2005 01:31 AM

some monitors some with the software to do this

pornguy 04-28-2005 01:32 AM

I am working with some one that has the two 17 inch flat screens, and above his desk, he has a 30+ inc flatscreen that shows what he is doing on the net. A really nice system.

Thats sounds good. The Wife is gonna kill me, but I am burnt on 1 monitor...

I got two balls.
I need two monitors.
3 Might be kinda weird.

arnette 04-28-2005 01:52 AM

i have 3

what you need:
2 monitors (obviously)
a dual head video card (reccomended), or 2 video cards
ultramon (software) technically you dont need this but its a worthwhile investment

2 19 inch Iiyamas, was very easy to setup and I am a real tech n00b

Costs, about 1500 dollars a year ago or something.

$tandaman 04-28-2005 06:05 AM

Alien, check out dell's 24" widescreen.. it's sweet..
the resolution is 1920x1200..

MrVids 04-28-2005 08:19 AM

keep an eye on this page: http://www.gotapex.com/coupon-codes/94.phtml

you can usually get those 2005fpw's that juicy got for about $400 each shipped, though i stronglry recommend the 2001fp's as they aren't theater wide. for your desktop, vertical real estate is the most important.

Why do you need a dongle?

swedguy 04-28-2005 08:26 AM

I'd never let my monitors duel!

But dual monitors kicks ass. I have my work monitor and another one that I only use for reviewing that is set to 800x600.

MickeyG 04-28-2005 08:28 AM

I'm surprised a high end designer such as yourself only has one screen. People have been using dual setups for years now.

kowntafit 04-28-2005 08:43 AM

I've heard that once you go dual you can't go back, I have too much shit on my bench already, so i won't try it.

thats because your productivity really goes up, its amazing how much easier it is to do things with two screens versus one. Its almost like having two computers. :thumbsup

I think I am suffering Monitor envy.

SGS 04-28-2005 09:41 AM

Been using 2 Iiyama 19 Prolites through dual ATI card for ages. Best upgrade you can give your PC and productivity shoots up.
