Good digital camera for shooting content?

What's a good digital camera for shooting content? And what kind of flash should I get?

There are many. Good point & shoots and great SLRs.

What's you budget?

I don't think shooting content with a point and shoot is a good idea...

I think the lowest you can probably get away with is nikon d70 or canon e20...

I'd like to stay under 2,000. I have looked at the Canon e20. What sort of flash should I get for it? I know I need to spend alot more for a content camera, but I have to start somewhere and in this case, its kinda small.

I appreciate the feedback already given.

In the future, when I have more cash for a good content camera, what kind should I get that is in the $3 to 5k range? Thanks

Go with Nikon D70 or Canon D20.

You might as well start with the right one from the beginning.

wtf is Canon e20???? D20 for sure, whatever e20 is, don't... :helpme

as for the flash, the best bang for the buck are Alien Bees, followed close by White Lightning, (just to keep prices low and quality high), i use Hensel studio flashes, fitted with Chimera softboxes and various accesories, count about 4 flash heads for pro lightning...

Get the 20d you wont be dissapointed, And as for flash units i swear by my dyna-lite setup but that will run you 3-4 grand

i agree with what others have said. the d70 and to 20d are both great. even the new rebel xt might not be a bad choice its almost as good as the 10d and is only $999. check em out!

D70 is more then fine to start with and well end with for that matter. The body is about $900.00 and you can get a Nikon 50mm lens for about 125.00.

I just bought one for backup when my fuji went down. Took me just a couple sets to get the feel of it which I was impressed with.

Might not be a real work horse like the big Nikons or Fuji's, but its a great camera for someone starting. Nice camera for the money.
