hi everybody,

it was really odd to hear some of the restaurants people are going to here in s.f.. this town has some of the best food in north america. yes, france and holland have dope food too- probably doper.

here are my suggestions and please cancel all your other reservations because this is crazy to go to some weird spot the hotel recommends.

Killer Semi casual (no suits allowed)

- Bix
- The Slanted Door - thanks dvp for dinner tonight btw.
- Foreign Cinema

Medium Killer But Still Quite Killer
- Cafe Tiramisu on beldon
- Globe Restaurant on pacific - serves up to 1 am or later and is super-killer for the midnight killer dinner.
- Postrio - i am not a fan but everyone loves
- Farallon

Incredible sushi with dj and great atmosphere:

Ah, never been to the one up there but loved the one in LA like 5 or so years ago and the NYC one is always a good place for some duck and dessert.

can't go wrong there but you can order it room service in the hotels so it kind of spoils going there for me.

if you like asia de cuba then the slanted door here is in that niche and 100000000000000x better.

for slanted door you need to call day of at exactly 5:31 pm when their computer dumps all the cancels. they are always booked up months in advance. you can beat the system however with my aforementioned suggestion.

Little Italy is nice also

Try Bubba Gump on pier 39. Great food and a nice view of Alcatraz and the bay.

Crab House is a personal favorite of mine.

My Favorites when I live in The City:

House of Nanking (edge of Chinatown) -- THE BEST Chinese place EVER!

Osha Noodle House -- Sutter Street past O'Farrell. Great thai noodle house and cheap

The waiters are old, but the food is good.

Oh god yes, this is a must ANYTIME you're in the city. The onlything on the walls of this place are about 100 awards framed & hung up around the entire place.
