You can't go too wrong with Norton.

avg caught ones that norton did not - that's why i'm questioning norton

There's such a thing with anti-virus software as 'false positives'. A large segment of the anti-virus software out there has these. Just because one program picks up a certain 'virus' and another one doesn't, doesn't mean as much as you might think.

Just don't use PC-Cillin... What a fucking big stinking pile of shit!! Those programmers should be flogged and hung by their nut sacks....

Of course, your milleage may vary.

1 year ago they bought RAV, a very succesful antivirus program, for $6 mil.
I think they will revamp & modify it a bit , then release it to the masses like they did with Giant AntiSpyware.

They also bought Giant.

Kaspersky is from far the best I used

absolutely..and it's pretty fast what can't be said about the heavy norton suites

karspersky, the Norton Suite allwayes messes up my puter somehow...

www.nod32.com is the best, hands down.

I really don't like Norton anything.

avast. it fucking rocks! just download it, install it and it will continue to update FOREVER and will atuomatically scan n shit you never have to tell it to. Plus it's free :thumbsup

and sometimes Norton will catch'm and AVG will miss them.

I'm using AVG

I used to use Norton for years, but I recently switched to a new free anti-virus app called Avast. It updates daily and seems to catch a lot, and protects e-mail, im's, nntp traffic, http traffic, and it supposedly works better than Norton according to many reviews. Seems good to me so far.
