What if you webmasters started encrypting the emails before you store them into the DB? This is actually a message targeted to the sponsor software providers mostly.

You could use a method where the emails are encrypted with a key. This key would not be stored on the server. The webmaster would have to enter it manually to have certain email related processes to run (like emailing past clients about a special photo set they might like).

Just an idea. If done in a standardized fashion with all sponsors participating, this solution would cause the adult industry to set stardards the mainstream industries would be adopting (and not the other way around).
