TotemCash full retention stats (are we the first ones to give that info?)

Here are the stats of one of our affiliates for his signups begining of last year. Amounts are net (billers' fees paid) so the affiliate gets 60% of that.

From 2004-01-01 to 2004-01-31

219 initial signups, $ 4314.58

Month Transaction Amount
2004-01 7 refund $ -156.53
2004-01 7 recurring $ 156.44

2004-02 6 refund $ -114.58
2004-02 2 chargeback $ -44.16
2004-02 92 recurring $ 2021.2

2004-03 3 refund $ -66.73
2004-03 87 recurring $ 1898.48

2004-04 3 refund $ -65.49
2004-04 62 recurring $ 1361.24

2004-05 4 refund $ -87.94
2004-05 51 recurring $ 1119.53

2004-06 4 refund $ -89.8
2004-06 43 recurring $ 943.63

2004-07 3 refund $ -67.35
2004-07 2 chargeback $ -44.66
2004-07 35 recurring $ 766.52

2004-08 34 recurring $ 744.69

2004-09 28 recurring $ 613.08

2004-10 1 chargeback $ -21.83
2004-10 19 recurring $ 416.61

2004-11 1 refund $ -22.45
2004-11 13 recurring $ 284.42

2004-12 12 recurring $ 261.96

2005-01 12 recurring $ 261.96

2005-02 12 recurring $ 261.96

2005-03 1 refund $ -21.83
2005-03 11 recurring $ 240.13

2005-04 9 recurring $ 196.47

527 recurring, 32 refunds, 5 chargebacks, $ 10744.97

Total: $ 15059.55

That's $15059/219 = $68.76 net per signup * 60% = $41.26 for the affiliate. And I bet the 9 remaining ones are gonna last for another year, raising the affiliate share over $47.

Are we the first ones to let that kind of info out? What do you guys think?

Trax 04-25-2005 02:34 PM

What I think... the numbers displayed for a certain affiliate who seems to do good, posted on a board like gfy barely represent how the whole program is doing
just what I think I experienced in the past :)

pornguy 04-25-2005 02:34 PM

Never seen it before on a board, but I bet some have shared this info with others.

Michael O 04-25-2005 02:36 PM

I got a couple of webmaster referrals at totemcash and I keep earning more and more from all their rebills :pimp

Mutt 04-25-2005 02:36 PM

Yep, that tells you I don't have to shave your ass to be able to pay $35 for free signups. Wake up!

:thumbsup

Good stuff, Richard. We need more disclosure and reporting standardization. This is a step in the right direction.

There can be differences of conversion ratios from one affiliate to another, but the retention does not vary that much. Here is another one, same period (should have thought of this one first, the numbers are better: $51 per signup for the affiliate...)

In my experience with Totem Cash, sales are difficult to come by but they retain like mad, which easily makes up for the poor sales.

justsexxx 04-25-2005 04:40 PM

I make 47.98 per sale with our sites according to statsremote..And rebills are still growing...(this is for my personal stats)

I do believe in the revshare model for good sites. In the long term it makes more money.(when the sites are good of course)

Sexy Rex 04-25-2005 05:20 PM

Thanks for the kind words and sharing your info as well.

I strongly believe that transparency pays. Which other sponsor publishes its top 100 every month (http://www.totemcash.com/free/top100.php), give full access to ALL its marketing tools without signing up (http://www.totemcash.com/free/tools.php), give free membership to all its sites (affiliates are granted free access after ONE sale) and now publishes no bullshit retention info?

edit: typo

punker barbie 04-25-2005 05:30 PM

its not within our stats program but here at www.XXXCash.com are happy to provide that info to any of our affiliates. i do a bi-weekly report for them upon request.

Snake Doctor 04-25-2005 05:54 PM

Not to burst anyone's bubble here....but if you're going to show stats like this show them program wide....not for one or two cherry picked affiliates.

Also, you charge 24.95 with no trial so your per signup value is going to be high. Most sites that have no trial can do 3 months or better average retention.....however it is much harder to acheive that initial signup.

You can't compare stats like these to stats for sites with cheap trials.

swami 04-25-2005 07:16 PM

I have to say I have had 100% retention so far with TotemCash.Had one sale and its recurred now for 5 months.I keep meaning to promote them more.Maybe I will now after seeing the retention is no fluke. :thumbsup

Fukeneh 04-25-2005 09:34 PM

totemcash is good by me.

for what its worth.

I mostly agree. Initial signup is harder to make, but with an average conversion ratio of 1/460 (on all webmasters, unique clicks / signups) this is not THAT hard. Thing is successfull affiliates either build traffic for our products (think wallpapers, freewares, sharewares, screensavers...) or add a few buttons here and there keeping their main sponsors. Those who redirect their porn traffic for a few days to test are disapointed, it's more difficult than that.

I agree I should post stats for the entire affiliates, or at least a large portion of it, and I'll post it for my TOP100 here soon.

We got over 280 models in stock (see them on http://www.hotgirlcentral.com/) and with content management the members gets 3 new ones a week.

My point was mostly saying our products retain way more than what most people think. And the only way I compare myself with sites with cheap trials is the fact I don't need to shave to keep my promisses.
