Who had problems with them and how did u solve it? (legal action)

Lots of people have, and they solved it by telling Fusker don't do it anymore... and they didn't.

Lots of people have also tried that and had no effect.

Complain to his advertisers.

Find any advertiser on the page , then track down their site , and hotlink all the pictures onto one page. Then buy a half a million choker hits and send them all in repeat loops to the advertisers images.

he's not being hotlinked. He listed his site with fusker (a tgp). Now they are sending him more than he wants which is screwing his bandwidth.

I have emailed webmaster@fusker to get the domain removed although this hasn't happened yet.

what "legal action" could you possibly take against them anyway

LOL fusker is not a tgp.. Its a theft resource center. Good luck with the email it wont help they stopped answering them ages ago.

Italianstyle posted his URL which is a tgp. He's not being hotlinked he's being straight linked. His .htaccess is in place now but he is listed with them until they remove his domain from their database.

You dont steal stuff then claim its not stolen until someone complains.. If you stole it without asking , its called theft. If you do it to me , you lose more than your website :)

put a htaccess on your box and its solved redirect it to some funny pic we do and it brings joy :)

Thats one way , but the bandwidth stays the same if your using an image as a redirect..

Unless your in a legal position to sue, then its best to just use .htaccess and email the webhost. ( and the other method i suggested )

Italianstyle posted his url to a few forums. One being fusker. He is still learning and wanted to boost traffic. He learned quickly this was a wrong thing to do.

So they are not hotlinking him they are simply linking him. I have already fixed his .htaccess against links from fusker. however with all the fusker domains out there this is not a simple solution.

I see what your saying now , just your explanation was strange.. Fusker is not a tgp , its nothing more than a place for stolen items.

I know what fusker is. I have also sent the required legal papers and fusker has been warned from me in the past. So I'm sure they will remove him from the database shortly.

Being in hosting I have dealt with these guys many many times.

This information was not posted here. When you originally said this , i thought you were just assuming that he had added it to fusker himself , not that you had spoken to him privately ( thus none of us know wtf your talking about because nobody mentioned those details )

I don't talk about everything my clients say to me unless I am given permission to do so.

But I can say this I do know he posted it there by mistake ... he now knows it's shitty traffic. and he has also learned not to believe everything on GFY :winkwink:

When you said this , you didnt say how you had come to this conclusion. Thus the only logical explanation to anyone in the thread is " he must have assumed it " because he never mentioned he had spoken to him , and italianstyle never mentioned posting his url to fusker .

If you had said "i just spoke with italianstyle and he actually posted his url to fusker on purpose ( unlike the 5000 other threads about fusker where people are asking about hotlinking )" then the rest of the thread ( me ) would have understood what your saying :) :thumbsup

First, legal action is bullshit. He's gonna sue someone after he willingly posted his own links? His mistake, bite it and learn from it.

Second, rewrite commands in .htaccess can easily bounce the traffic off somewhere else based on the referrer. Just redirect anything with the word fusker in it off to google, or back to fusker, and it goes away, hotlinking or not.

Serves him right for spamming fusker.
