I was at a technology convention in Spain about 2 years ago.

One company was talking about creating a system for DVD retails stores called "Burn on demand."

Essentially the entire store was the size of a kiosk with a 2 computer terminals. The consumer selected the movie the wanted. The clerk downloaded it complete with the artwork, etc. and burned it on a high-quality DVD.

The only thing he said holding them back was bandwidth speeds.

Looks like it isn't too far away now.
