Im moving - what should I do with my shit?
 

Leaving my apartment for Houston in a couple days; I have a brand new queen mattress still in wrapping I never used to sleep on, I have a 27" Phillips TV, 2 full computer / office desks - both brand new, but built, and 3 computer chairs.


What the hell can I do with these? Is there a place thatll take em and give me fair amount of $$ for them?

i would at least take the tv, you can never have to many of them.

i know you can donate it to charity for a tax write off, but as far as places that buy used furniture, there may be a couple local shops in your town that would do that. check the phone book.

the best way to get rid of furniture around my city is a local newspaper publication called the pennysaver. it's just basically a little newspaper of classifieds for things like furniture, cars, and yard sale ads.

omg, i MISS the Pennysaver lol :) I've bought so much shit from that damn thing, its unreal. I bought a computer once for like $200 ...fully loaded too. Some dude from college fixed on broke pc's and then re-sold them for dirt cheap lol

i've gotten so much good shit from there. my favorite was a set of black drums i picked up for 120 bucks. turns out after stripped the crappy black spray paint off them, that they were an original set of 1960 black, white, and gray, tiger striped ludwigs, worth almost 3k restored.

it was a hell of a find.

Id take my TV but Id have to put it in my passenger seat since my trunk is filled with stereo equipment, and having a 27" TV in your front seat doesnt look to pimp.
