No England isn't using the Euro but you can use it in a few select shops.

Not to be picky..but neither are Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland ..the other nations that make up the United Kingdom. The UK isn't just England.

Southern Ireland is using the Euro though.

The UK will not be using the Euro it will eventually change over to the Rupee

Yeah it is just Ireland but I wanted to seperate the two incase people thought I was talking about Northern Ireland.

I'm not totally sure but I think the first country to use the Euro was the French Pacific island of New Caledonia.

Am I right?

I read it was Reunion, a French island in the Indian Ocean but Sjayne you could be right actually - unless they had a reason to delay changing to Euro for some reason in New Caledonia.

The UK situation isn't clear. In polls most people say they don't want in but in the same polls the majority also says they think we will slowly get there.
