Cool pic, they are pretty far away. I think chasing tornados would provide a huge rush.

It's not that close at all. People here won't even stop mowing the lawn if a tornado is that far away. Most of us don't even pay attention until the neighbors roof blows by. :1orglaugh

I think the people are photoshopped into the pic. The colors on their clothes are a lot brighter than the rest of the picture.

i was about to point out the photoshop thing too...plus, why would the person taking the pic stay in the car when the couple is outside...did they wanna get some fun car hood in the pic?

If so then they did one hell of a job photoshoping their replection and the reflection of the tornado on the hood.

pray they get swept up into that funnel cloud and dissapear.

2 miles max. Could easily get to them in less than a few minutes. Not to mention look at which direction they are heading. You guys have serious distance interpretting problems if you think that miles and miles away. llok jusr befoer the road curves in MAYBE max 1/10 of a mile now extrapolate that.

Looks good and is a nice pic to show the kids someday.

LOS is 7 miles (line of sight)

I would say it's about 5 miles away at a rate of 60mph it would reach them in my 5 mins if they did nothing and it came stright towards them.

odds are they are safe enough distance away.
