:1orglaugh a little pricey and no point for me really considering i work from home. :winkwink:

dont get me wrong i LOVED NY, i stayed at the NYU when i was down, it is def on my list for a place to live for a month if i do not decide to go to Vancouver or Montreal.

point being that if i get bored i do not like it i can just pack up and go home without a giant move.

i am travelling lots this summer, we will see if i make it back, i am waiting for my buddy to move down so i can have an extended stay. :winkwink:

I was renting a house in Maple Ridge (vancouver suburb), around 1800sq.ft for just under $1000/mo a few years back. If you're looking for something right in town, like the west end, you're probably looking at around $1 per square foot.

The place to look for that info is here.

the Shemp 04-24-2005 12:21 AM

is it just for a one month term?
i would guess 1500 - 1800+ for Van city, in the new high rise areas.

yes for 1 month, i need a break from calgary, i figure i am mobile so why not choose a city close enough where i can easily return.

that isnt a bad price at all, i have been looking over the net, some really nice apartments.

facialfreak 04-24-2005 12:24 AM

I live just outside Montreal (about 20 minute drive)
There are brand new just built townhouse condos i our town that are renting for $800-$850 CAD ... but finding a one month lease will be next to impossible ...

the Shemp 04-24-2005 12:26 AM

im sure there are some of those corporate condos available for short term rentals. fully furnished, hi-speed, granite countertops etc ;)

nice nice, i wonder how much it would run me?

as long as i am downtown, i want to be in the middle of the action, i am a person who needs to be occupied.

Yes, I have all that information for Vancouver and for Montreal. I've rented short term furnished apartments in those cities many times.

But Vancouver and Montreal are very open minded liberal cities, I don't think you would like them very much. You might want to reconsider your choice of cities to visit.

Your comments about bulldozing the entire mid east seemed like you had a lot of anger fueling them.... though this is the internet and i can't really hear your tone etc...

no, all I'm saying is that judging from the posts of yours that I've observed, I don't think you would enjoy the people in Vancouver or Montreal very much because they don't share your opinions and beliefs, so you might want to reconsider your choice of destination.

Sorry, but unless you haven't noticed, I've already told you what I think you will/will not enjoy. Too late to stop me.

By the way, it's obvious that you do care what I think because you are both reading my posts AND replying to them.

i think i remember you as a crybaby from before but then again i had to double check your name because i though it said "BARQS" who the fuck are you again?
o ya a nobody, now fuck off and go try to act smart infront of someone who doesnt see you as a worthless spec of ant shit.

psyko514 04-24-2005 01:58 AM

A 2 bedroom appartment in downtown Montreal would run ya about $800-$1000 depending on the amenities of the building.

I don't know how easy it would be to get a place downtown for only a month, though.

Look at the emotional reaction my posts have created in you. Your insecurity is showing. Look at how you're calling me names now, it's a very interesting reaction. You're threatened by my posts because you know there is truth in what I've posted and that truth bothers you. You're like an animal who has been cornered, and now you're trying to fight your way out by attacking me and making an attempt to discredit me. Ironically, by doing this, you only help prove my observations about you.

By the way, please show me where I said I would not give you the information you're looking for. Just because I haven't posted any information, doesn't mean that I wouldn't.

Seriously, go back, read my posts in this thread, then read your reactions.
