TIVO/DVR via PC - Do I need a PC TV graphics card?`

Anyone know if this is the only way or if I can use some kind of cable directly from the DVR to the monitor (DVI compatibel)?

ATI All In Wonder X800 XT will output HDTV and TIVO regular TV. It's a fantastic card and the only one we use in our PC's.
