Question to those in the USA....

What is the difference in softball and baseball?

PenisFace 04-22-2005 07:42 AM

The softball is the size of a beachball, the baseball is the size of a tennis ball

Rebecca Love 04-22-2005 07:43 AM

Softball is a bigger ball and pitched underhanded. Not sure if its softer because I played softball when I was young, got nailed right in the face with a line drive and was convinced the ball was not soft. It is about the size of a grapefruit, while the baseball is the size of an orange.........hope this helps. :thumbsup

Pretty much just the size of the ball, bats can be aluminum in softball, and how pitches are thrown (underhand in softball).

A softball is bigger and softer I believe!

DateDoc 04-22-2005 07:43 AM

Yeah, softball is bigger than a baseball and pitching is underhand.

To watch, yes. To play, not really. Alot of people who can no longer play baseball play softball.

Yea. However, they're both terribly boring to watch and only fun to play if you're drinking beer.

As far as proffesional sports no doubt!

Softball is something that you play as a kid or on an adult team for fun IMO!

MandyBlake 04-22-2005 07:52 AM

yeah softball is bigger and can be slow pitch or fast pitch.
in high schools, girls play softball on teams and the guys play baseball.

sickkittens 04-22-2005 08:00 AM

There are alot of different rules for each but overall they're pretty similar.

DVTimes 04-22-2005 08:07 AM

Do you ever play rounders?

Its a bit like baseball, but with a small bat.

Often played in primary schoo (UK)l, but often lots of fun.
