What would you do if you found 200 pounds of bundled marijuana?
ARIZONA DAILY STAR - 04.21.2005
A 150-acre wildfire burning in the Patagonia Mountains is expected to be contained Thursday evening. The Antonio Fire was discovered burning in a remote location on Coronado National Forest land Wednesday afternoon. Crews expect to have the fire, near the ghost town of Duquesne, contained by about 6 p.m. today, officials said. No structures are threatened. Crews working the blaze found about 200 pounds of bundled marijuana within the fire?s perimeter. Officials estimate about 800 pounds had been abandoned along a known smuggling route but that much of it burned up in the fire. The marijuana was turned over to the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. Evidence indicates the fire was human caused, but the investigation continues, officials said. |

If someone finds 200 pounds of weed and decides they are going to turn it into the police department, what happens if they're pulled over on the way to the police department?
|
i would call the cops.
i don't have anything else to do with it. |
That actually happened to a friend of mine not too long ago. They were walking in the forest and saw a bunch of semi-hidden plastic bags. When they poked it, it was sort of solid so they felt it was safe to open it and look. It was all weed. They thought it wouldn't be very smart to steal that much weed so they took a little bit of it and left the place fast :)

no shit, they would go down for a while , the cops would never believe them..... |
That much weed would probably belong to someone who matters, best to leave it be.

I would have tossed it in the trunk of my car and hope I didn't get pulled over on the way home.

{cue the Reverand Horton Heat, singing Bales of Cocaine:
Well, I was workin' on my farm 'bout 1982, Pullin' up some corn and a little carrot, too When two low-flying aeroplanes, 'bout a hundred feet high Dropped a bunch o' bales o' somethin', some hit me in the eye... So I cut a bale open, an' man was I surprised Bunch o' large sized baggies, with big white rocks inside So I took a little sample to my crazy brother Joe He sniffed it up and kicked his heels, said, "Horton, that's some blow!" Bales of cocaine, fallin' from low-flyin' plane I don't know who done dropped 'em, but I thank 'em just the same Bales of cocaine, fallin' like a foriegn rain My life changed completely by the low-flyin' planes So I loaded up them bales in my pick-em-up truck, Headed west for Dallas, where I would try my luck I didn't have a notion if I could sell 'em there, But, thirty minutes later, I was a millionaire... Bales of cocaine, fallin' from low-flyin' plane I don't know who done dropped 'em, but I thank 'em just the same Bales of cocaine, fallin' like a foriegn rain My life changed completely by the low-flyin' planes And now I am a rich man, but I'm still a farmer, too But I sold my farm in Texas, bought a farm down in Peru And when get so homesick, I think I'm goin' insane, I travel back to Texas in a low-flyin' plane... Bales of cocaine, fallin' from low-flyin' plane I don't know who done dropped 'em, but I thank 'em just the same Bales of cocaine, fallin' like a foriegn rain My life changed completely by the low-flyin' planes |

Something like this happened to friend of mine back in '97 while he was hiking on Mount Seymour in Vancouver. He found 8 of the extra large style black garbage bags full of buds. Needless too say he packed them down the mountain to his ride and brought them back too his place. He gave me and some friends a call and we all rushed over to his place to help him pick the buds off the stalks. To our disappointment most of the buds had mould starting to grow on them. We managed to save some of it and my friend gave each of us roughly a 1/4 pound and we tossed the moldy buds into the woods by his place; didn't want to smoke any of that ammonia smelling and tasting shit.
