How do you feel of sponsors taking your traffic and sending it to another sponsor?

You send them hits and they in turn exit it to another sponsor or multiple sponsors. Do you feel cheated when they do that?

Spunky 04-21-2005 08:40 PM

I guess it's called part of doing business...shrugs

of course you feel cheated...

for instance WEGCash sends so much of your foreign traffic to a dialer it kinda sucks...but i still use them ;)

jayeff 04-21-2005 08:47 PM

It's skimming by another name, except that traffic redirection is something that we somehow allowed ourselves to be convinced isn't cheating...

xiando 04-21-2005 08:48 PM

Yeah, I feel cheated. It's almost as bad as shaving.

pornguy 04-21-2005 08:51 PM

There are programs that will pay you on the exits. Bit not many.

If they are with ccbill I don't care because if the re-bills are good, I continue to send traffic. If not, I stop promoting them. The sponsors who require a 100 dollar pay out and redirect any ones traffic, I tend to stay away from them because my traffic doesn't convert beyond the minimum payout, and I feel like am charity for porn surfers. I love the sponsors who give credit to any exit program that I get credit for.

Start your own paysites and send all your own traffic to them... Other than that, suck it up and enjoy the $35/signup payouts cause that's part of the reason why you're getting them.

foxxx 04-21-2005 09:06 PM

why not just cut them out of the loop and send it direct to the sponsor they are rediredting it to? ;)

Alex from I Don't Have a Clue, that is why nearly every program has a no console option. If you don't like consoles being served to your traffic, send to no console tours. The $20-$25 dollar payouts on them reflect the value of the traffic w/o consoles. Want $35-$40? Then the program needs to supplement the higher payout with exit revenue.

Because the way an exit trade works, it'll go right back to them :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

Great idea foxxx,

Is there any way to tell which traffic is going where?
I suppose you could use proxies from different countries to see where it all goes, but that could take some time.

XPays 04-21-2005 09:36 PM

ALL of your exits and every link in you start traffic into in your host directory with http://XPays.com TRACKS. So many times people say why should they work with XPays when they can send direct to another sponsor. One value-added feature is that we pay you across the board!

XPays always pays!

You will get checks from us forever - 7 years of ontime payouts already! No matter who sticks us next- you get paid! :winkwink:

Rorschach 04-21-2005 09:53 PM

It's the total $$$ you get from the traffic sent that matters at the end of the day...

VIPimp 04-21-2005 10:54 PM

At Epic our 1st exit console is all our own sites and you receive credit for sales made from it. If you dont like consoles, we have a NO Console option but your payout will be less per signup.

psyko514 04-21-2005 10:57 PM

That's what no-console options are for...

If you're aware of it and yet willingly continue to send traffic, how is that skimming or cheating?

why? if I sent it to a specific site and it didn't sell, do they really OWE me any revenues from exits? do you think the hun would feel cheated if you didn't share your revenues with him if he sends you traffic?

as soon as you send the surfer to a sponsor, that surfer is no longer yours...no more than if the hun sends you a surfer, it's no longer his.....

It the broadest sense of the word, I consider this shaving. Its hits I sent which they're being paid on and I'm not. I don't consider this fair.

emthree 04-21-2005 11:12 PM

Pisses me the fuck off, especially when I rather pop my own exits.

austinth 04-21-2005 11:15 PM

not a big fan of it at all

:eek7 shaving??? When someone links to a console version tour as opposed to a console free version, generating exit revenue to facilitate the higher payout is hardly shaving :winkwink:

Here's another way to look at it: they pay you a higher rate to send your traffic to their sites with consoles enabled, and you get that higher rate whether or not they make a sale of the console. And if you still think that isn't fair, you can choose a no-console option and get a lower payout. That's my take on it.

That's why I specifically said in the broadest sense.
And just for the record, I only do promote console free tours :)

Or, promote no-console versions and negotiate higher payouts with volume :)

One of the reasons I geo-ip filter all my traffic before sending it to any sponsor. :thumbsup

That's why the hun and many other sites have all those rules! Try putting exits on your page or use a sponsors on your page with pop hell and see if the hun list your stuff. :winkwink:
