Some guy just came into our offices with a knife and tried to rob us!!!
 

About an hour ago know, after all the cops left I am writing this out. A guy about 6 foot 5, totally high and aggressive came into our office and walked around (our receptionist wasnt at her desk) into our studio space, then back to the front door. I had walked out hearing the front door chime, which rings when someone comes into the offices.

I cornered him and asked him for ID. He went to go in his pocket and said he didnt have any, and started getting very abusive, and more and more threatening. I asked him if he had taken anything, and he was getting more and more anxious. I started to go towards him, and told one of my employees to call the cops, which he did. Then this guy pulls a small knife out on me. He opened the door, and i followed him, as he was threatening me. I kept my distance but told him the cops would bust his ass, and I'd be there to see him go to jail.

Then he ran down the fire escape. Cops came took my statement. Fucker, I am going to keep a baseball bat in my office. Next guy isn't getting away.

Uhm... downtown Vancouver is quite the opposite of the ghetto and in Canada, we don't just shoot anyone we want to :winkwink:

LOL something like this happened to me once, when I was working at a videochat company. It was an ex-employee who came in and tried to rob the place. I simply don't know why the fucker thought we had cash there.. OK, we did, in fact, but he can't have known that.

So, he stormed in and pretended he was picking up some of his stuff... etc etc., we have a silent security system which had three dudes armed with AK-47s come to the front door and take him away for god only knows what.

After that we had a full time armed security dude on staff.

Someone hired for a convenience store job I applied for back in the 80's was killed in a robbery by someone strung out a week later.

One of many incidents I've experienced that makes me believe in at least one guardian angel.

In the tattoo shop I used to work at me and my boy had baseball bats above the doorway in each of our stations.. Put two nails above the doorway and rest the baseball bat on the nails.. it's easy to grab, and use when you have to.. I had to brab mine a couple times.. but never swung on anyone, usually they get the hint and leave fast..

Gas stations have got to be the worst. I had a friend who worked at a gas station for a few months. He got held up once, decided he hasn't too interested in becoming a paster anymore and became a cop instead :1orglaugh
