Visa / Visa electron

What´s the diffrence between a "regular" visa and a visa electron?? Is it possible to pay with a electron if you purchase something online?

I thought you couldn't use it for stuff online, but it says you can on Visa's site

I paid online with electron. (epass visa CC is electron right)

Only difference I noticed is that the numbers are now only printed on the CC, in stead "above" the card.
