Are there still people who can't receive HTML formatted emails?
Is there such thing as a program that still isn't capable of receiving html formatted emails? And if there is, does anyone use it?
Or do any of you have your email programs set to only receive text and not HTML? |
Mine blocks are images so html looks like "x".

I run text only
|
Like a lot of folks, I set mine to "text only" to disable all the tracking that folks do with their image loading stats.

I run text only as well, any message that doesnt include text also doesn't deserve to be read
|
Mine allows the viewing of HTML but I have it set to text only. It DOES sift through the html and try and display any text it finds so I know the general context of the message, and I do have the option of clicking one button and seeing the HTML but I rarely do it unless I know exactly where the mail came from and what it is.
Too many exploits in the past and too much possiblility for future exploits to have it set to HTML all the time. |
it's not that people aren't capable of viewing html emails; alot of people (myself included) opt to view text only...it's safer... plus i hate getting emails from relatives who are still living in an aol world and all their emails have flower pattern backgrounds and hard to read yellow text...

Oh crap ... wait are there people making images and sending them to me to do work? :Oh crap I better check on this. |
Mail in OSX displays html with the option for disabling images and embedded objects.
I still can't get my Horde webmail configured though to display html - it's still comes as unfomatted html code :grrrr: |
