How much does your job effect your vote?

We are about to have an election here in the UK and made me wonder how much your job and involvement in this industry effects your vote.

mindoza 04-21-2005 07:44 AM

id say it has an impact! So does simply being a women though

MandyBlake 04-21-2005 07:47 AM

i think it should affect it a lot...if you enjoy what you do you don't want to vote for someone who is against the way you make your living.

Peaches 04-21-2005 07:56 AM

None. I can make a living doing other things besides porn. Those who want to tax me less and think taking care of people who don't want to work is wrong are the ones who get my vote :)

Not sure - they don't seem very clear. Will it affect your vote Sarah? (if you vote)

BukkakeBrown 04-21-2005 12:15 PM

100% none

d00t 04-21-2005 12:18 PM

im sure if i worked for the government my job would affect my vote!

BigRod 04-21-2005 12:24 PM

Definitly I'm not going to vote in a direction that will hurt my revenue!

I do vote (in two countries) and I guess I would like to know more about where the parties in the UK stand on censorship, etc. The lib dems have some policy about lowering the age that someone can shop in a sex shop to bring it in line with the age or marriage but everytime they get asked about it they try to change the topic.

It isn't the main thing I could vote on but I would be interested to know as I see particularly violent sex on the 'net as a topic that will come up in parliment in the next gov't.

Yes, I noticed a while ago Blunkett was lloking into that, professionally speaking.

They don't seem to care, so it wont effect my vote.

I'd be quite happy if it stays bellow their raidar for as long as possibly. God knows what knee jerk reaction the media will have if the issue of internet porn is brought up in parliment.

Tat2Jr 04-21-2005 01:48 PM

My job does affect my voting, but more importantly I think my views are what landed me into this job. So it's kinda the chicken or the egg question.
