not counting funerals...

i mean, a dead person laying on the street with bullet wounds and a pool of blood.

i watched this rather disturbing program last night about L.A. County's Morgue and they picked this male teen off of the streets (he was shot), and ants were crawling all over his eyes and inside his mouth....fuckin gross. And he had that deer-in-headlights look. :Oh crap

Many many times... The worst are kids in car accidents with limbs missing.

I live in central Florida where there is a ton of traffic accidents. So, I have seen a lot of body bags, but I have never seen the actually body.

Drove up one night on a wrecked truck that had hit a concrete bridge abuttment. I could make out a leg with a shoe, the rest was twisted metal. Must have been travelling very very fast.

yes i have just twice. the first one, i saw a street kid lying on the street after he fell on the underpass. i just saw his legs.
second, was when my friends and i visited a relative in the hospital. we parked our car at the back of the hospital and the only way up is to use the service elevator. and when we entered the elevator, a dead body came across us. we were all stunned and had goosebumps.....grrrrrrr

I've seen things that'll make you call your mother and cry...

I almost ran over a drunk who had got thrown from his truck one night. he was dead in the middle of the road and I came about a foot from running over his head. I was avoiding debri in the road that his car had scattered, rocks, dirt, some small brush, apparently when he hit the embankment it threw shit all in the road, so i was avoiding the stuff, had not yet seen the vehicle, and I see the body laying there, damn near wrecked myself trying to miss it.

Late at night, dark mountain road on the way home from gambling in cherokee, nc. it was pretty spooky.

i saw a person that died from a heart attack...

did those things ever make you call your mom up and cry?

well, with bullet wounds? no, but I have seen a dead body. I went through medical school afterall lol

i saw someone get shot a bunch of times in cincinatti, i didnt stick around to see if he died or not though.

yes i have, a friend of mine took a .44 mag to the chest while talking to his girlfriend at a pay phone. i myself went in to get a soda and heard two loud bangs ran backout and held him till he died.

I got my fair share of dead people in a job I had. The worst experience was seeing my father die, though.

a six year old girl who was missing a head due to a decapitation in a car wreck and a grandmother who had a heart attack while eating pudding (the pudding was all over her face in down her throat and just everywhere)...yeah, many many times...

Never on the street, but Im a nurse, so yes Ive seen more than my fair share.

i dont think i would have stuck around either. :(

i saw an old woman crushed to death by a truck before. it was gruesome.

I've been to an afterhours bar here and seen quite a few people get killed few feet away.

The worse one though was a guy standing beside us, someone came in the bar, shot him point blank to the face, walked out....

To leave the bar, we had to walk over his dead body since he was blocking the exit.

Happens every week or so here at that bar though.

damn. how people can just walk in and kill someone and walk away like it was nothing, do they get away with it? I wouldnt even have the balls to pay to get someone killed.

no nightmares i do think about it alot thou realizing i probly missed death myself by just a few seconds.

Yes I have abd it wasn't fun :( . One was my Popaw he was on the sofa and we all we're asking him what was wrong as we called 911 so he died right before my eyes. :( When we first moved here a little girl was hit and killd by a car. I went down to see what was going on and I was on the news.

...a good friend of mine who was a paramedic said that was TRUELY the saddest thing to ever deal with was seriously injured kids....and being a parent now I'd have to agree, that'd be beyond tough to deal with...

Seriously though, it all depends where you are...many bars here never have trouble otuside the occasional bar fight, but other places have tons of trouble.

I know, South Africa is pretty rough too ;)
