Domain Moguls - quick evaluation needed

I'm interested in the potential value of the domain 'freeojos.com'.

a) how much could it be worth today?

b) would it be a good domain to hold on to for a few years?

c) how much would you buy it for right now?

The fact that right now, nobody knows what an Ojo is deflates the value of the domain significantly.

However, once that has become a solid name with a solid marketing campaign attached to it, the value of that domain could easily run in to the low $0000 price range IMHO.

AT&T created the first video phone in 1956. Nobody wanted a video phone then and nobody wants one today. Nobody uses it because:

1. Nobody wants someone who calls them on the phone to be able to see them especially on Saturday morning.

2. The other person has to have a blowjo to use this and nobody will have one so you can't call anyone you know.

3. You can use NetMeeting or any other video chat program for free on your computer with a $10 webcam and you can talk to millions of people using these programs. Why not just use your computer? The video quality is better and you can do more things with it and it's cheaper to buy the webcam and the software is usually free. So many more options!

Don't waste your time or money dude. You are stuck in 1956.

Ahh, okay. I don't know how much it would be worth. I think the best you could do with it would be to wait until one of those "freewhatever.com" sites comes out with free ojo phones and join their affiliate program or something like that.

they are going to claim the invented the word ojo and you wont have a leg to stand on

ofcourse, its 8 bucks, and youll know in the next 3 years if it pans out. so.. your investment is 25 bucks with a chance at a xxxx figure return. not a bad roll of the dice.

Hmm, thanks for that input. I understand what you mean about how they could claim they invented the word 'ojo', but I really don't see how this could be an issue here. If I was marketing a rival product on that domain, perhaps.?

Well if they decide to do that all they need to do is call up ICANN since that word is a registered Trademark. They wouldn't pay you a dime.
