FireFox cache
OK, where does Firefox hide the setting to
"always check for a new version of the page" Like IE does???? I've looked all over its tools, setup, etc... Can't find it or am I blind? I always seem to have to do a reload or refresh on something I'm working on at the moment when viewing it in Firefox. IE handles it OK, Firefox keeps tricking me into thinking somethings not changed. arghhhh |
i have the same problem, cant seem to view the image cache either.
Firefox is a welcome change to the spyware infested IE but it sure does have its quirks |
Tools - Advanced preferences check out the variable
browser.cache.check_doc_frequency Set it to 1 and it'll check each time!!! |
about:config in URL bar

noone seems to use this but if you press SHIFT while reloading it skips the cacheversion
|
I think that the cache is useless in firefox. Whether it loads from the server or from cache is no difference. They're both slow. Cripes, just clicking the back button in the browser is as slow as loading the page initially.
I love Opera's load times. Hit the back button, it's INSTANT. |
coool.
thanks for the tips. I'll go poke around under the firefox hood |
