p2p network ad scripts question
 

Limewire, Kazaa etc all have ads popping up when you do a search, say I look for xyz then it pops up xyz.JPG and xyz.WMV as a result, obiously with a paid spot link to a site.

How do they do that, is that a local script run by a client or built in?
