Exactly.

I have the Rebel and the SD500.

Cost varies a lot, but IMO, Canon is the best.

I have a 35mm Canon EOS now, I've had it for like 7 years, bought it in Thailand dirt cheap. It's going to camera heaven after 3 fixes.

I want something that gives me the depth of field, composition quality etc that the old days with my Canon EOS offered. ahhhh, nostalgia.

budget? hmmm, under $500 is this possible?

I bet you could find a Digital Rebel for a little bit more now that the XT came out a little while ago.

Cory W 04-18-2005 09:29 PM

Damn Lori, you would almost save yourself by getting the digital rebel. $799, but you can use those same lens :)

go with the rebel... not the new 350.. thats junk... if the lense you have will fit you can get just the rebel body for 500, if not its about 700-800 now...great camera :thumbsup

I know they say the world has supposedly all gone digital, now.

But, Lori, --- listen --- before you take that "lemming-follows-lemming" leap into the digital abyss, pass your jaded gaze over this beauty...

And get this, it has a higher effective resolution than all but the giga-pixel cameras they've just developed like in the last year. Crazy huh.

Exactly.

go canon but be ready to adjust your images slightly to remove some red... they are a bit warm for their own good.
