What is the best but LEAST cpu intensive Virus Software? norton seems to slow everything down? |
what you should do is do a daily scan while you shower or take a shit or something. Low cpu usage and best antivirus don't really go together. All the hack3rs use kaspersky :thumbsup

avg is free, and works pretty well...
another vote for AVG.
Avast. turn two of the services off and it uses hardly any cpu.
I don't notice any lag with Norton..been great for me
Norton has been bloated for ages, but is overall pretty stable and of course popular. I personally use AVG but have found Nod32 to have been the easiest on my machine.
AVG from www.grisoft.com :thumbsup
I recently tried pc-cillin.. and I have to say that it is the worst piece of shit software I have ever had the pleasure of using. Nothing like having your system freeze up for a few seconds while it decides to do something. And the random crashes!! Funny.. even after uninstalling that steaming pile of stinking crap I can't install norton again.
