My girlfriend dragged me to the piece of shit re-make the other night. Worst hunk of shit movie I've ever seen, I mean it was so fucking bad. I knew it would be.

Yes, the worst. I wouldn't even consider myself a horror buff or anything like that....hollywood horror flicks are all about "jump" scares, there's absolutely nothing creepy about this movie. The acting is really shitty too.

Give me $50k and I'll make a horror movie that will make you shit your pants.

Yup. Go rent the original one, it's not bad at all.

actually i like the second one, Amityville 2: the Possession. it took some real chances like detailing the evil of incest, etc. that most movies wouldn't take, as well as being creepy. i like it even though i know the whole thing is based on fabricated bullshit.

the family that moved out in the first one? well, the day after they moved, they returned to have a garage sale. hows that for being chased out of the house by so-called demons?

well they actually showed the 'possessed' boy getting it on with his sister so as to 'afront god' with his sin of incest. i think lots of movies would shy away from this nowadays and consider it too much, even though it was demonstrating evil.

i thought it was much better than the first one from '79.
