I have the longest lasting set of AA batteries in the world...
 

I have a set of 2 AA batteries that have been working for over 7 years in a row now. They we're purchased in Stockholm, Sweden in October or November of 1996. They are Alkalyne batteries that are called Tudor.

They have been totally functionnal, and they are not rechargeable. They are in my travel alarm clock ever since I bought them. I find it amazing that they have been working for so long when batteries have a shelf like of a couple of years when unused... what could explain them working for so long? Maybe the company would be interested in buying them back from me?

Please, if anybody is in Sweden, can you tell me how I can reach the company?

i have a wireless keyboard thats on almost a year and a half with no battery change

7.5 years > 1 1/2 years

If they last that long, I doubt the company is in business anymore.. :1orglaugh .. they obviously didn't learn the lesson that you design things to break/wear down so you can keep selling new product.

i'm actually impressed with how long my batteries lasted in my wireless keyboard. i thought i'd have to change em every few months but it's a year and half for me too.

what brand is yours?

is it one of those analog alarm clocks

how much energy does it take up, enough to turn the second hand?

7 Years? 1996 to 2005 is 9 years. Unless you put them in 2 years after you purchased them.

why don't you give me those batteries :)
