    No. Mr Brady was a secret service man made to take a bullet. He did his job.

    What? Now he is a spokesman? What the mother fuck?

                                  Press Secretary to "spokesman" is (while not strictly an error) still cause for pause, if not yet objection.

                                  The opportunistic (or governmentally "encouraged") re-characterization of people, events and circumstances by the media is not always a black-to-white, one-day-to-the-next reversal of truth -- as with the involvement of Iraq in 911.

                                  Sometimes, they do it in baby steps that might not get detected as such, nor immediately betray the direction of the change.

                                  I'm not sure this is the case in AlienQ's example, but there certainly ARE reasons why the Republican Party might wish to begin to distance (the memory of) Ronald Reagan from gun control advocacy --
