The phone is actually called the Hiptop. T-Mobile decided to rename it for some reason. |

I dont see what is so great about the SKII. I had one for a couple weeks before eventually selling it. the lack of a decent camera, bluetooth and the speed of browsing are just a few things i couldnt stand about it. the only thing that makes it better than a normal cell phone imo is the keyboard, aim and the display screen. actually talking on the thing is pretty hectic as well.

The keyboard comes in great for emails and instant messaging. I use it all the time for affiliate/customer support. I will agree that lack of Bluetooth support as well as lack of Javascript support are downsides to the phone. As for talking on it, it comes with a handy headset. |

the hiptop developers are working on java script as we speak, bluetooth would be a plus, but then again ive never fucking used bluetooth for anything, The camera will take pictures just as good as a 1-2mega pixel camera, The longer you hold it still the better the quality of the picture gets, The focus software on it sucks but it takes a few to hold it steady to get a clear pic. |
Yeah the only downfall is the camera, I see it has a flash but i dont know how to use it yet haha..
My Panasonic Gu87, now like a year old, is the most superior camera phone i have seen so far. |

And Pipecrew, Microcell didn't go out of business. They were on the verge of bankruptcy for a little while though. Rogers bought them out in January and merged the two networks. pstation, the main selling point of the Nokia 6630 is it's camera, so of course it's going to be a good camera. It's sold as an imaging phone, whereas the camera on the Hiptop 2/Sidekick II is an additional feature and takes pretty good pictures compared to a lot of camera phones available in the North American market (which the 6630 isn't, as far as I know). The 6630 is also more expensive than the HT2/SK2. |
Side kick is the best phone out in my book.
It's got everything you could want in a phone. Let me know when you get it and we can play battle ship against eachother. :thumbsup user: chaze |
