what is the domain name? without knowing what it is, no one can really give you any speculation.

I dont think it does, plus NASDAQ and AMEX and registered trademarks which could get you into some trouble. :2 cents:

hmmm did a search and nasdaqamex.com is owned by a private company
they seem to be doing rather well with that extension.
:)

you wanted opinions and I gave you mine, your domain is not even worth registering if you want me to be honest. Take the $5 offer and the jujubees

Thomas1007 04-16-2005 04:56 PM

well thanks for your opinion.
anyone else?

KRL 04-16-2005 05:04 PM

Not worth even the reg fees, and like posted above those are 2 major public trademarks, so you are in a potential legal liability situation if you do anything with them.

Thomas1007 04-16-2005 05:24 PM

Thanks for your reply KRL
you are probably correct but im curious if that is the case
how is it nasdaqamex.com is live and owned by another private company.

:)

It looks like its on a parked page like many domainers do to profit from domains and try to stay under the radar by just grabbing the type-in traffic and not actually promoting a real site.

You only run into trademark problems if they notice you and have a problem with what you are doing on the site. Just cause you grab a domain with a trademark doesn't mean legal problems. Some domainers get away with using them forever. Its only if you get discovered that problems can arise.

Kevin,

I think the biggest point here is that nasdaqamex.net will never get typed in unless someone reads this thread and is wondering what he is doing now or Thomas himself types it in.

Add to that it's a trademark valuation, it has zero resale value.

Yeh, I told him that also. :1orglaugh

I look at several thousand domains a day. 99% are mind baffling why anyone even registered them in the first place.
