What happened? Their top 100 results on a subject are from sites like amazon, epinnions, and tons of sites just selling shit! BIG whale sites that probably pay top $$$ to own the top spots, and the only way you can get on top now is:

a) heavy spamming and black hat SEO
b) hard work, years on to get quality and tons of back links
c) luck

focus on 'b' and a couple years from now you'll be sitting pretty. Hell I'd rather do SEO for another two years than go to Dental school for four. It's still a bargain and the return is great.

I agree. They will at least be a very strong competitor in the next 2-3 years. It's a good thing. The more competition the better.

google as a search engine needs some SERIOUS improvement, it is total spam now and users are starting to realize it also, my wife even recently switch to msn and yahoo instead of google....my conversions are down to TERRIBLE #'s on google as compared to yahoo and msn...

surfers are starting to see it, webmasters are starting to see it...the only people not seeing that google search is looking shitty is google

they used to always be one step ahead, it almost seems as though they are falling behind on purpose...i just can't see them letting this happen without knowing

while google employees might have worked hard before the company went public, now that all the employee stocks are unlocked they don't give a fuck. most of them are probably millionaires. what do they care.
