Where can i buy Gun replicas for a film?
Hi there, I am about to shoot a lowbudget thriller here in Norway and I wonder where I get hold of gun replicas, you know harmless guns :winkwink:
Anybody here into doing "real" moveis too? :upsidedow THANKS IN ADVANCE CRONOS |
www.airsoft.com
the full line of airsoft guns would be great for making a movie. might have to touch up the "safety paint" tips on them with some flat black spray paint. but their weapons are damn nice and look very real. oh and that site sucks, but look up airsoft guns. you will find a ton of sites selling them. |
look at norwegian sites, ebay.com sure has some but anything looking like a gun is claimed by EU customs
|
if you can get em through customs , shortyusa.com has cheap, very realistic looking guns. you`ll just have to spray paint the orange tips black
|
Thanks for your answers :thumbsup That was fast indeed.

I just recently bought a nine and a 22. Love the 22.

I don't know your budget but if your doing far away shots the shortyusa will be fine, anything detailed and you'll want to drop $300+ per gun for a Tokyo Marui AEG. I've layed a real M-16/AR-15 side by side with one of their M-16s. The only difference was the real one was scratched up.

you might also want to call your local film commission office and ask them for a referal to prop house that can build one for you or may have some available for purchase/lease
|
damn they are really cheap too.
