GeoIP db that ID's closest major city?

I need a geoIP database that will return the closest major city. IE, I don't want "Manhattan," I want "New York City."

Any recommendations?

They are way too specific. They return "east bum fuck" instead of "bum fuck" like I need.

I just want the CLOSEST BIG CITY, not the exact city/town.
