Amittyville Horror Remake

Looks good if you like horror flicks

Fletch XXX 04-15-2005 09:11 AM

it does NOT look good if you like horror.

remakes suck.

any REAL HORROR fan knows this.

Screaming 04-15-2005 09:12 AM

not my kinda thing but enjoy

Fetish 04-15-2005 09:18 AM

I have a feeling it is going to blow chunks

jollyperv 04-15-2005 09:44 AM

The end is near. All ideas have been exhausted.

StuBradley 04-15-2005 09:46 AM

I saw the full length trailer last weekend at a theater and it DOES look good. The TV trailers don't do it justice.

:pimp

Let us know how it turns out... I loved the original... scared the shit out of me! hehe

Thank you for this moment of sanity.

SykkBoy 04-15-2005 10:51 AM

I wasn't a huge fan of the orginal
the remakes doesn't look bad, but I've been duped before (Boogeyman, anyone?)

I'm not a fan of remakes either...there have been a few I've liked, but they still weren't necessary...

this is why I've entrenched myself in the Asian horror genre the last couple of years and the Italian horror genre before that.......I've seen so many movies, it takes a quite a bit to really get my attention...

mahoney 04-15-2005 11:02 AM

That movie scared the shit out of me because it was based on a true story.
I would have moved out of that house as soon as I saw the black sit in the toilet : :helpme

The only remake that was somewhat good, was "Dawn of the Dead".

At least Tom Savini was in it :thumbsup

And Land of the Dead will be released in June!

Scott McD 04-15-2005 11:09 AM

I'm gonna go see it this weekend... :)

MiaVega 04-15-2005 11:11 AM

I grew up 2 houses down from the "Amityville Horror" house. My parents still live there. The house has changed a bit. People constantly drive by to get a look at the house. Before the owners of the house now, people would move in and be out w/ maybe less than a year for whatever reason.

pimpin 04-15-2005 11:34 AM

where's the original house at ?

a friend of mines says her grandmas house was used to film the inside scenes in the recent release. I guess her house is totally granny style like all the 60s preserved and in mint shape... guess we'll have to wait til it hits dvd to check it out too :)

You're missing out on the whole Cuban horror genre.
