How long is a domain held in the redemption period before it is released? There is a domain I want to pick up that is held at register.com and expired on Feb. 15.

I would like to inform you that the exact time cannot be specified that how long the domain name will be in the redemption period.

register.com is tricky. I was once trying to pick up a domain which they held for over a year... That was a while back, don't know if things have changed... :2 cents:

Register.com holds the name as long as it takes to sell it to their highest bidder.

Take my word on this and don't give them a dime.
