Hotel Rwanda

that was an amazing movie...just watched it with my girlfriend... we are avid movie watchers and it was one of the best flicks i've ever seen.. really makes you feel like you are actually there... and its based on a true story which makes it that much better

if anyone hasn't seen it i highly suggest it :thumbsup

its crazy how a genocide that big ... around 1 million killed... happened in 1994

I agree absolutely amazing flick, brought tears to my eyes! Defiantly a academy award material!

sad movie - but even more sad that people actually have to see it on movie 10 years later to really know whats going on in that part of the world. My "favorite" part of the movie is when Nick Nolte tell the hotel owner that "you are not even n*gger - you are african"...

The make of this movie is itself quite ironic.

i will say this in every thread about this movie - the actress that played the wife was robbed of her Oscar.

Look at today: Everybody talking about Iraq, but how many knows (or care about) what is really going on in Sudan?

I want to see it

dodger21 04-15-2005 10:10 AM

If you guys don't know, the exact same thing is going on in the Congo and Darfur right now, but no one seems to give a shit.

BVF 04-15-2005 10:12 AM

I just left Blockbuster a few minutes ago. I saw Hotel Rwanda but I want to watch it with somebody and not here at my desk while I'm working. I'm sure it's gonna be a great movie.

I got "The Last Sign" instead.

sickkittens 04-15-2005 10:13 AM

That and Million Dollar Baby I've been wanting to see.
