Kimmykim 04-14-2005 04:28 PM

Yes, you are.

eroswebmaster 04-14-2005 04:33 PM

Tip them nicely and they will even put it in the right spot for you and drag the old furniture off. :)

shermo 04-14-2005 04:34 PM

Drop them a $20. :)

Sosa 04-14-2005 04:35 PM

give em a few beers :)

Steve 04-14-2005 04:42 PM

if it is a fast and easy delivery - $20
if it is a pain in the ass toss them some more cash

Antonio 04-14-2005 04:52 PM

Tip them in advance, otherwise your coffee table's going to loose a leg or two.

69pornlinks 04-14-2005 04:59 PM

i tip anyone who's doing some sort of service for me, i even tip the cats at jiffy lube when they pull up, the mobby :)

Alex From San Diego 04-14-2005 05:09 PM

My tip is usually a piece of advice like

"Just think if you studied in school as a kid, you would probably own the company" Hope it was worth it. Don't scratch any walls.

abadfish 04-14-2005 05:18 PM

I'm sure that goes over well!

I've tipped movers before.. but never delivery people.

Advice is always beats $$$......dancers sometimes beg for tips at the ghetto strip clubs I frequent....would you like to tip me for my dance?

I usually tell 'em...here?s a tip......if I thought you were worthy of a tip I would have already done that......but here is another tip....work at a better club where you don?t have to beg the customers.

nico-t 04-14-2005 06:01 PM

u could tip them, but dont tip em too hard; they might fall down when they still got your furniture in their hands.

shuki 04-14-2005 06:08 PM

Yes :2 cents:

Furious_Male 04-14-2005 06:14 PM

Yes its always nice to tip the delivery drivers. A lot of the time they will set everything up for you as well.

hilly 04-14-2005 06:15 PM

Tip them only if the take the old one away.
I had to plead with the fat lazy bastard and his mate! And the store even promisted theyed take the old one away.

ProjectNaked 04-14-2005 06:27 PM

AHAHAHHA!
Best one of the day!

jimmyf 04-14-2005 07:09 PM

don't be cheap give'em a 100 bucks.

pxxx 04-14-2005 07:47 PM

You don't have to, only if you want.

arial 04-14-2005 07:48 PM

That's why you pay the delivery fees. :)

Herb Kornfield 04-14-2005 07:48 PM

$20 is decent. They'll deliver about 100 couches a day and make out about 30-40% of the time.

wargames 04-14-2005 08:54 PM

Yes so they'll give you better service.

pstation 04-14-2005 08:56 PM

i dont, only reason why i tip pizza drivers is because they usually have to pay for their gas, car and they dont make much as it is already.

When we had a new sectional sofa delivered here a couple months ago, I decided that I wasn't going to tip them. I really didn't even know if society deemed furniture delivery guys 'tip worthy'.

The delivery guys show up and bring the sofa in, then the main guy looks at me expectantly. I reached out and shook his hand and thanked him up and down, but he didn't even say a word. He just walked out the door.

I felt bad, especially since I always overtip whenever we go out. My advice to you would to slip the delivery guys a $20, or at least $10.

clickhappy 04-14-2005 11:10 PM

Yeah, i'll give them a $10. I think that's reasonable.

Greg Jacobson 04-14-2005 11:12 PM

I only tip people who deliver food, and I tip them VERY well after hearing news stories about delivery guys jacking off and spitting in food of people who do not tip.

Stacey_JoinRightNow 04-14-2005 11:13 PM

i make it sure to always give TIPS to any delivery service guys, coz i felt that it's the only extra source of money they would have from

Jace 04-14-2005 11:15 PM

this is so wierd...we are getting a new couch tomorrow too...a 2 piece sectional also

how wierd

They already dropped off the furniture. What kind of service are you getting from your furniture guys? Maybe I don't want to know...

You know... the whole tipping thing is getting out of hand. You're "supposed" to tip for EVERYTHING now.

Getting your hair cut. Why?! I just paid you the set fee and now you want more? Just charge more to begin with!

Getting a lap dance. Back off bitch! I just gave you $20 to shake your ass for 3 minutes during a God awful song. Of course, this is after you fed me bull shit for 5 minutes about how cute I am. Listen, I have a mirror, I know you're lying!

Taking a cab. You do the same damn job every other Russian is, why should I give you an extra $5? You should be happy I didn't call you a prick and tell you to fuck off for smashing my face into the window while zipping around the exit ramp.

And now delivery guys? I just paid $50-100 to have my piece of furniture delivered, now I need to pay extra just to get it in one piece? We're rewarding these people for the WRONG behavior. We need to dig up Pavlov.

My grocery store doesn't allow tipping. And the employees are very strict about it. Thank God!

I pay you to do a service. You do the service.

They dont have to use their own personal cars either, and being a pizza delivery guy is one of the most dangerous jobs you can have.
