The local news had a story a week or two ago where a soldier was reunited with a stray puppy he and his unit found in Iraq. Had a stupid little welcome party and everything.
So apparently it is possible to get them here if they really want to.

My brother-in-laws troop in Iraq also adopted a puppy. They washed him and fed him steak, he took a long nap after his belly was full :) He sent over pics but they all have soldiers faces in them or I'd post them. Anything that cheers these boys up I'm in favor for - they are great guys.

Thank you, I agree w/ you. My brother also served in Bosnia as an MP, and there are things he doesn't talk about, they see a lot of shit that takes a toll. My brother is a strong, independent and hard working Captain, and our family is extremely proud of him. :thumbsup

Whatever your political stance is on the war over there, these guys are putting their lives on the line every day. We can say its right, we can say its wrong, but either way its a hell hole and I salute anybody who wears the uniform and dedicates themselves to being a soldier.
