Galleries with Recips, do they convert?
 

Hey All,

Was just wondering about those of you who place recips on your galleries that also have links to your sponsors. Do those galleries convert well for you? I prefer to submit to TGP's that don't require recips because what's to stop the surfer from clicking on one of those recips to get more porn instead of going to your sponsor? Your thoughts?

I use recips on everyone except TheHun.

Many tgps say they dont require a recip but I think deep down they like to see it, it's an ego thing, so I always put it in.

Get Russian Submitter and they will automatically insert the recips and then post your gallery to the cooresponding TGP.

IMO: I think the amount of traffic you get from recips is a joke. It is an ego thing!

I wouldn't let surfers potentially going away stop you for submitting to TGPs that require recips. What's better? Surfers that come to your galleries, some click on sponsors and some go to your receips or no traffic to your galleries at all? All you can do is try it and see if it works for you. That's the stage Im in right now.

when you put their recips, they're giving you traffic in return. So its a nice trade off to get tons more traffic...

The hits do add up sometimes...but mostly it helps with link popularity. My TGP ranks much higher in the search engines this year than it did last year...and that's due to the thousands of galleries that link to me. I went from getting 50 SE hits a day to 1,000 a day. And that number keeps going up every month.

Oh I don't deny that recips are great for TGP's in terms of link popularity, I was more asking gallery makers if they found that galleries with recips converted less than galleries without recips.

I have found they convert better but that is only because they are more likely to be listed and listed in a good spot.

I would not want to give up traffic just because 1 out of 100 might click a recip and leave.
I posted a gallery few days ago this is the number of hits to the page with out recips

now this is how many hits I got on the pages with recips
12391
that didnt include the pages that got less then 200 hits so the recip pages got twice as much traffic as the one with out recips oh and just a note the page without recips was posted to 150 tgps

At Library of Thumbs...We do not even allow recips anymore...
#1 they slow the gallery down
#2 Recips give a surfer another exit aside from your sponsor..
Traffic generated from recip buttons or links
amounts to such a small amount..Its not even
worth it when you consider the trade of a possible signup to your sponsor instead of providing a link to more free porn
