"VONAGE" customer support sucks!
 
I plug everything in and my vonage isn't receiving any tone. The customer service is clueless, they don't even know what to do. They say the same stuff over and over.

dude, i emailed them a month ago to cancel (i moved and got landline/dsl)

and NEVER got a response..

i happened to loose my credit card about 2 weeks ago, cancelled it.

then i get an email a day for 4 days saying my vonage rebill has failed and to update info.

then, after 4 days of that i finnally get a "were sorry your choosing to cancel" with a friendly reminder saying id need to pay my last month (even tho i cancelled way before the rebill) plus the $40 disconnect.

i told them to bill me. assholes.

ps check your router ports and open up the IP that your vonage box is.

Vonage is a mess, i think i am going to cancel it. I just got it today, and the customer support sucks. I tihnk i will just stay with Cox Digital Telephone.

We got Vontage but it didn't work for us too well because we use so much of our bandwidth pushing our housecamz that it was not too clear. We faxed and e-mailed them to cancel us cause their phone line to cancel was always over a 20 minute wait. We are still getting rebilled! I hate to do a charge back but this is one of those times when it seems you actually have to or they will never stop billing you.

Yeah, their support sucks so bad. I don't like how this is working through the broadband connect, because sometimes the phone doesn't ring, etc. There's still a lot of work to be done before it gets better.

Their support sucks, but I have had it for two years now, and they go through little periods where they can't seem to handle their growth and then when they catch up it works great.
