Anyone here using instant messengers to communicate with parents?
 

My parents are over 50 and I would love to sometimes communicate with them that way instead of having to use the phone, but it looks like they would never get used to it....

Anyone here doing it ?

yeah my mum and i hit it up over msn all the time
she sms's me too

yup, talk to my mom daily and my grandmother once or twice a week.

I tried with mine with MSN.
I set their comp up to auto login.
They didn't know how to click the orange flashing message window that was minimized in the task bar so I gave up. :(

I talk to both parents and younger brother through AIM a few times a week.

yep, easy and quick. still use the phone though also.

my mom aim harasses me 24/7

All the time. They love it.

I thought the same thing about my mother, so I hired a kid from my old high school and he went to her house every day for a week or so until she knew how to do it herself. She's in Maine and I'm in Australia.

Now she can even send photos. And I'm sure she's older than your grandmother :)

I talk to my whole family on aim :)

i only use icq, just for this biz. I disconnected from msn a year ago and i like it!

I speak to my gandmother all the time on MSN :1orglaugh

But I want to buy my moms a sidekick, she just likes here phone too much to switch. :disgust

I keep the parents to e-mail, I got enough im's coming in from business associates, friends and models.

I use it to communicate with my mom.
