How to? Rip snippets of sounds off DVDs

I need small bits of sound FX off some movie DVDs. Im watching a full movie and then need a small bit of sound maybe 30 minutes into the movie as I come across it. Whats the quickest method to do this? I need to do this off a lot of DVDs.

I have found programs that convert the whole soundtrack off a DVD to mp3 or wav, but then I have to go through the whole thing again or write down times then rip those bits.

I just want to be able to rip off a sound patch as I come across it in a movie.

Any ideas? (besides putting in an external recording device, I need to record the sounds to the same PC).

Use a soundcard audio capture program such as Audio Record Wizard. It will record any sound coming out of your speakers.
