You really realize how unstable the earth is when you experience a major earthquake like I did on Jan 17, 1994 at 4:30AM when the 6.8 Northridge quake struck just 3 miles from my house in California.
All I can say is HOLY FUCK. I decided to leave LA for good after that nightmare from hell. Never again. I'll take hurricanes any day over earthquakes.

when i lived in Cleveland, OH back in either 99 or 2000 (cant remember exactly), we felt a very small earthquake from an earthquake that was far away (also cant remember from where).
but i do remember being in my bedroom studying for school, no music, no tv, just silence. and i heard all my knick-nacks on my dresser shake, and then my basketball trophy slowly inchin its way off my night stand. that was a weird feeling, the earth moving. its fuckin crazy.

Try living in the center of Northridge when it struck. For anyone in that area i was living on lindley and chatsworth and it was struck hard.
I still live here though. Wasnt scared enough to move across the U.S.
