Thanks for the <insert some lame service/gift>!!! You are the best!" and even the all powerful and ever-so-endorsing comment of, "...knows his shit! I talked to him at <Name a fucking show> and he taught me more in one hour than I learned my entire adult career!"

Get off their cocks already!!! If you learned more in one hour from talking to someone then you REALLY need to invest some money for a copy of hooked on phonics because reading obviously isn't one of your forte's!

I've noticed this especially this past week regarding a host where the usual suspects show up to deflect the serious issues the host was experiencing and with a sponsor that makes imaginary claims about their ratios and friends and family come to the rescue to back the sponsor up when people expose the lies.

wanna guess as to how many of these ass kissers that bug you are really just outsourced posters?

I am just surprised so many people are willing to put their credibility and reputation on the line so readily to support someone who bought them a drink at a show. Do you not think people see what you are doing and are making a mental note?

Definition: ICQ What's-Uppers: (N) English: Any group of people that continuously talk on ICQ in order to form "gangs" of so-called associates. They generally pop in 1-3 times a week to interupt your work with a "What's Up" ICQ message.

The incessant chatting about nothing usually ends with a 'bump my thread' or 'show me some love' request in which the receiving end feels obligated to fulfill.

It's turning into an epidemic. :(

It's the only way some of these people can survive in business. You know that when you see some big name endorsing a service like some of the outsourcers that the 'name' is getting something special in return - either that or they're outright paying for the sig and the 'name' has never used the service.

But you just have to laugh it off - people eventually realise what's going on and it brings down the 'name' and the garbage they have been supporting/recommending.

Still there are always dumb newbies for them all to feed off.

I keep a mental note never to work with those groups. I like the guys who work as consultants that need contract renewed and come on and kiss everyones ass when their existing contracts are about to expire. Someone needs to protect new companies from falling victims too from all the board sharks that promise them the world and deliver nothing but excuses.
