FreeBSD is more stable, more faster and better than crappy winblows....
So I'd go for BSD definitely :thumbsup

Yeah I knew the difference between winxp and i386 fbsd, but the difference between xp and 64b fbsd is amazing.

Yeah 64 bit BSD and AMD 64 should be the best price/performance combo ATM

if you're going to compare, compare it with the 64bit version of windows, even then they're still two totally different things

That would probably do M$ less justice ;) at least for several more months to a couple years.

It makes an excellent desktop solution. Much better so than Linux. FreeBSD for my laptop, 3 desktops, servers and OpenBSD for firewall/NIDS appliances.

FreeBSD is a kick ass server, better than linux variants out there
