This scam is probably old but I never saw it until now:

I been getting them weekly for years. The letter looks all official like you have to renew with them.
So real in fact my wife believes "Domain Registry of America" is Go-Daddy because she's been scared enough times we were going to lose a domain everytime we get one she goes into our godaddy account and renews the domain another year LOL |
yeah i've had those scam letters before as well... they do look authentic though...
|

i wonder how many people fall for it, must be enough to keep them going |

Yep been getting some of them lately too.
|
I have gotten them for a long time myself. My only concern with these solicitations is they tend to fool the average business owner. I had 1 client that was fooled by it.
|
yeah I got about a dozen letter from this week too. It was another name last year but obviously the same people.
|
Been getting that junk mail from "Domain Registry of America" for years now.. there are agencies building cases against them.

[QUOTEhahahaha^..^=]
funny thing is their office is in Melbourne australia.... [/QUOTE] They've been doing it since 2000 in AU and sued by everyone under the sun.... how long have you been asleep? :upsidedow |
Get tons of those for a company called "domain registry of canada" in official government size brown envelope with little canadian flag almost exactly like government, doesn't look like a sales pitch, looks like a bill.
I got their lawyers on the phone, and suggested that they were going to spend a bunch of time on TV in the next few weeks if they didn't back off - I haven't gotten any from them in over a year as a result. fuckwad scammer bastards fuckheads. Why do you think no sane people want anything to do with the internet? All the fucking asswipe scammers are here. We are generally fucking up the best business model ever created. thanks fuckwads! And the ones that say its time to renew your Yellow Pages listing.
