What's the most interesting garage sale find you ever had?
 

I haven't hit garage sales in awhile, but last night I was reminded about the time I was at this one in Fort Worth and I came across some movie press kits.
I used to have a huge collection of press kits after working in Hollywood for 5 years so I just made an offer for the whole stack and figured what I didn't want I could give to my nieces.
Anyway the movie press kit for The Net was in there and figured my oldest niece wouldn't mind having it...well after giving it to her she was going through it and lo and behold inside one of the 8x10 movie stills was autographed by Sandra Bullock...she still has it to this day.
Not necessarily the most interesting thing I ever found...just something someone reminded me about that I had completely forgotten.

What's a movie press kit?

It's a package handed out to movie reviewers etc.
Includes a synopsis of the film, production notes, cast listing, usually stills out of the movie for people to include in their articles or whatever.
Some of them are very basic and I have had others that are just amazingly detailed...like the press kit from The Last Temptation of Christ. It came with a really nice book with colored pics.
